12th of April 2011... What an eventful day.

First, it's Hua Yi Concert Band's SYF Central Judging for Band.

Second, Hua Yi Concert Band's sec 4s are stepping down.

Third, the results of SYF.

SYF... reached school at 5. tio scolded by Mr Tan and practiced. haiz... seriously... What the hell am I doing? Drum major already still do this kind of things...

Bus supposed reach our school at 7. But as usual, it came late. Woodwind bus reach at 7.20 and Brass bus reach at 7.40. Mdm Angrenni boarded the woodwind bus and register when she reached. xD Brasses reached at 8.36 when we were supposed to reach at 8.30. But since we registered, we didn't get penalized. Phew. xD

Tuned and rehearsed for the last time in the tuning room and off we go to the stage.

Singapore flyer was relatively okay I think. But some tunings are out. Ride was terrifying. I was so afraid I couldn't reach the high note, but I MADE IT!!! WOOTS! XD and i guess some parts we were not in time, and yea, that thing too.

Went back to school to pack and went lunch with the other 2 retards at KFC.

Went back to school at 4.30 to go back to SCH to listen to results. it went like this:

Announcer: Band number 129, North Vista Secondary School... Silver

*Claps and Cheers*

Announcer: Band number 130, Hua Yi Secondary School... ... ... Silver

*Emo claps*

Announcer: Band number 131, Beatty Secondary School... Silver

Everyone was quite emo after the announcement of results though we had expected it. Some even cried.

Band, we've practiced hard to maintain a silver. good job. (: Those who thinks you have did your best, I salute you. Those who are guilty, now you know the seriousness. Do better than best 2 years later and maintain the silver medal or maybe clinch the gold medal. All the best!

We went to dinner at jp and went separate paths of dinner next. LOL

Sec 4 seniors are stepping down... Sec 3s are supposed to lead the band now. Are we capable? LOL or am I capable of leading lower brass? Can I be a leader as good as Chuanjie and Senmian? No use being not confident now... I have to take up the post. WE have to lead the band. Jiayou to all sec 3s! :D

Sec 4s! Do come back often! Hahas! You all know we will miss you all. But of course, do well in your o levels too and make the band proud of you. :D we're glad and proud to have all of you as our seniors and leaders. Thank you so much for the guidance for the past few years. You guys deserve a long rest. (:

Had been busy with band and... homework(?). Okay, the latter is obviously a lie. Hahas. Had not been doing homework lately... Excuse is no time. But today, I miraculously finished my SS worksheet (which is supposed to be our March holiday homework), and Bio ws (this is given out today). No, no sense of accomplishment/achievement. A sense of time wasted though. =/

Today marks the 4th day of SYF central judging for band. Our school's dance troop and drama club had gone for their SYF. Band's the next. Dance and Drama had both gotten bronze. Will we be the third to come back with a bronze? Or the first to come back with a silver or hopefully a gold?

I don't know why. I quite certain I will be nervous on the stage of Singapore Conference Hall. Even during our sound check day. The feeling of sitting on that particular stage, just makes you feel so... NERVOUS! To make things worse, during SYF, there will be judges. Not just 1 or 2, but 7!!! All 7 judges scattered around the centre part of Singapore Conference Hall, listening to us attentively, trying to pick up our mistakes or strength. I do hope it's the second one. Yes, Mr Tan says the audience's seat will be so dark that you can see nothing. But you do know that there are judges! *Deep breathe* Let's hope that I will stay calm on the 12th of April at 9.15am. Otherwise, all my mistakes would find their way back to me.

Seeing the attendance of band practices and sectionals is disappointing. Good job to those who make an effort to come. Sec 1s, the junior band, knows that they are supposed to come for sectionals. Why aren't they here? Nevermind about the sec 1s. The seniors, you guys are going for SYF in the next 5 days. FIVE!!! Don't you absentees think we have to grab hold of all our time and make use of them wisely? Please do make an effort to come for band practices. Those that comes for band practices may have make sacrifications. Don't let them down.

I'm afraid. As Mr Tan said, "If everything goes smoothly, you all should have no problem getting a silver, given you play Ride". What if, what if we screw it up on the competition day? What if we get bronze? I really don't want to disappoint Mr Tan, disappoint Sweeling, Nicholas, other ex-members, disappoint the band. Let's work towards a gold, if not, a silver. (:

There's so much more to work on, but there's so little time! 5 days! You can even count the number of days with you fingers! There's just too much things to work on...

I guess I have to chill. If this goes on, I will be freaking every Huayi Bandsmen who reads my blog out. Gambate HuaYiConcertBand! :D
